About The Harvard Club of New York Foundation
Since 1954, the Harvard Club of New York Foundation has assisted over 400 New York City students in realizing their goal of attending Harvard College.
The HCNY Foundation is a non-profit corporation organized to foster scientific, literary, and educational interests among members of the Harvard Club of New York City, to provide scholarships for students at Harvard University and otherwise to advance the interests and promote the welfare of Harvard University.
The Foundation annually supports twenty undergraduate students, graduate students, summer international programs, and other educational programs at the University.
Since 1997, the HCNY Foundation’s endowment has been co-invested with Harvard University’s endowment funds and overseen by the Harvard Management Company. The HCNY Foundation’s endowment currently has a market value of nearly $5,000,000.
From time to time, a portion of the investment income from the endowment is drawn upon for funding purposes. These monies, together with the generous annual contributions from Harvard Club of New York City members, are allocated to subsidize the Scholars and additional grant programs each year.
