Over the past several years, the HCNY Foundation has been fortunate in receiving bequests from Harvard Club of New York City members and other loyal friends of the HCNY Foundation. These gifts make extraordinary programs and events possible for both deserving students and the HCNY community.
The Foundation takes our role as a steward of member bequests seriously, and we’re grateful that you are considering making a gift.
Should you wish to make a gift, below is the language we typically suggest people use to include a bequest to the HCNY Foundation in their estate planning. If you do choose to include the HCNY Foundation in your will—please let us know and we would be happy to include you as a member of the Friends of the HCNY Foundation Society. This Society is made up of donors who have made a planned gift to the HCNY Foundation or have included the HCNY Foundation in their estate plans. HCNY Foundation Society members receive special correspondence throughout the year and are also invited to special events.
Proposed Bequest Language:
“I give (____dollars) or (_____percent or the entire residue of my estate) to the Harvard Club of New York Foundation, a New York City based charitable corporation, for the benefit of scholarship and related programs at Harvard University.”
